1969 Triumph, TR6 650cc (upgraded via 750cc kit)
This is a Kansas barn find early 2000s. It was almost stock, still had Bradley bolts hosing up the original rear shocks. I decided to restored it from the frame up because I needed a dependable, high-speed highway machine with modern safety features. So, while keeping as close as possible to its original, 100% stock standard, vintage Triumph construction, I made the following upgrades (all of which can be reversed for stock purists): 1)paint scheme, 2) Triumph turn signals, 3) external Triumph disposable oil filter, and 4) replaced original black seat cover with beige, non-heat absorbing material.
The original Smith’s instruments (tach & speedo) were rebuilt by Joel Levine. They work.
Original Amal carb was replaced with a newer model Amal in 2015 (to handle ethanol in gasoline)
Newly rebuilt engine was increased by a 750cc kit (larger cylinder head); new pistons with Hastings rings.
Installed a Triumph Trident style disposable oil filter
Replaced original oil pump to improve flow.
Up-graded to a 220 Watt Stator/Alternator kit by SPARKS.
Replaced points ignition to newer Boyer pointless ignition
Rebuilt transmission, crank bearings, rod bearings, new valve guides and valves, etc.
Installed new clutch in 2019
Rebuilt front shocks, installed new Hagon twin rear shocks (200 miles ago)
Installed 1973 Triumph front and rear turn signals (removable)
Other safety, modern improvements include complete (professional) rewire with new wiring harness for a new, all LED lighting system (headlight, tail light, instrument lights, and four turn signal light bulbs).
For luggage on road trips, installed an extra, tubular, 12” x 12” chrome luggage carrier over rear fender. This matches the chrome parcel grid on the tank.
New Dunlop tires (original look) with extra thick tubes.
Chrome rims, originals, (see photos) stainless steel spokes
New seat padding with non-heat absorbing “desert tan” seat cover.
Matching Frame and Title VIN.
Horn, kill switch, hi-lo beam switch, turn signal switches all rewired and working.
For safer driving in Phoenix traffic, I had the tank and fenders repainted in a bright, “Safety Green” color, and added rear view mirrors.
Front Brake Twin Leading Shoe
2,000 New Engine Break-in miles

Current Arizona (Green, 1979) license plate “P66HMC” (see photos) will be sold with bike. Complete Kansas ownership history, evidenced by copies of all previous DMV titles in the state of Kansas; from 1969 to present (now Arizona), will be provided with sale of bike. There were five registered owners for the last 50 years.
Upon email request, I will send a iPhone videos that shows bike starting, running day and night on the road, and all turn signals and instrument lights working.
