For Sale: a fabulous restored Cheney Yamaha XT500.
- Nickel plated original cheney frame, swingarm and the small bits such as footrest and brake lever. Most parts are re-plated
- Original xt –engine still has its original 500cc bore. Fitted with new Hi-comp piston and rings.
- Upgraded camshaft and fitted with a NOS lectron carb with see-through float-bowl.
- Engine runs and starts great.
- Original Cheney aluminium fuel tank.
- Original Yamaha YZ-Front forks.
- Yamha front wheel with double leading front brake.
- All small parts such as fasteners etc. are re-plated or replaced by NOS.
- Bike has an original dutch title and is road-legal.
- Supertrapp aluminium muffler.
- New rims, tires and spokes.
- New YSS shocks.
This bike has been in our possession since 1998 has sit in the garage next to more XT500 and parts. Last year the restoration has completed and the bike is ready to race. We however can not race it ourselves and the bike simply looks too good to have it sit in the garage.
