Triumph 6T Thunderbird 650cc

Ive owned this bike since 1986 it had 1 previous owner and did a full restoration on it, and used it for a while regularly, but then stored it covered over in the back of my heated garage where it remained unused for many years. The engine was cranked over regularly to keep everything working.
It started up ok on old fuel still in the tank after the points were cleaned. The exhaust was smokey but engine oil was periodically squirted through the plug holes so will need to burn it off. Used to smoke a little, but has all original parts of that era. The paint work is in very good condition the gold mixed from original factory colour charts see the photos, the chrome is also very good but slight pitting on the front rim.
The bike will need a little work to get it running properly, the clutch tends to drag, the handle bar grips are perished, and the carb air filter rubber tube is missing. A new battery will be required.
The tyres still look good no cracks or perishing the pressures were always maintained. its up to the new owner to access if they should be changed.
